Victoria at Dusk is a free winter arts experience lighting up downtown Victoria from February 13 – 15, from 5:00 – 9:00 pm each evening. Wander along an illuminated walking route discovering interactive activities, live music, storytellers, performers, and public art installations along the way. Gather family, friends and loved ones for a weekend of colour, light, and unexpected moments of magic.

Victoria Hot Chocolate Festival
Spiced gingerbread hot chocolate. Peppermint brownie hot chocolate. Red velvet hot chocolate. Yes, we’re just as excited as you are. All February long, more than 20 participating businesses across downtown Victoria serve up their own festive twist on this classic fan favourite. Even better, $1 from every hot chocolate sold will be donated to the BC SPCA Victoria Community Animal Centre. Hot chocolate lovers, rejoice! Lunar New Year
Celebrate the Year of the Horse at Canada’s oldest Chinatown! Victoria’s historic Chinatown features an array of exciting activities and traditional ceremonies to welcome the Lunar New Year. The festivities begin at the Gates of Harmonious Interest with welcome speeches and an incense ceremony, followed by lion dances, dragon performances, and traditional dances by local schools and organizations as they parade along the 500 Block of Fisgard Street to the Chinese Public School at 636 Fisgard Street. Be sure to stroll down Fan Tan Alley (the narrowest street in North America!) and support Chinese-Canadian owned businesses, including the Victoria Chinatown Museum.

Family Day Fun
Grab your little adventurers and start exploring! February 16 is Family Day in BC, and Victoria is bursting with family-friendly activities. Embark on a journey 65-million years in the making with the folks at Dino Lab Inc. Get hands-on with real dinosaur fossils and tour behind the scenes in their world-renowned fossil prep lab. Perfect for kids, and kids at heart! And if your kids still have energy to burn, we know just the place to let them run wild. Flying Squirrel Victoria’s indoor trampoline park will have them bouncing off walls, not your hotel room.

Victoria Film Festival
Whether you want to laugh, cry or just have an excuse to eat popcorn, the 32nd Victoria Film Festival is bringing the best independent films from around the world to Victoria theatres for 10 days only. From February 6–15, discover emerging filmmakers, catch the movies generating the most buzz, and revisit award-winning independent films from the past two years. Brand-new this year, the festival is unveiling a mischievous, horror-kissed art installation. An animatronic playground created by an inventive young artist from Squamish! You can find it at 1200 Broad Street, across from the Bay Centre, February 7–14. With 119 films screening across nine theatres and pop-up venues around the city, there’s a story waiting to connect with you.

DWTN Winter Lime
Experience the warmth and energy of the Caribbean in the heart of Victoria this winter! DWTN Winter Lime returns on Saturday, February 28, transforming Ship Point into a vibrant cultural market and family-friendly gathering. In Trinidadian culture, “liming” means relaxing, socializing, and enjoying good vibes with great people, and there’s no better place to do it than Victoria’s stunning waterfront. Embrace the spirit of community as you savour delicious Caribbean flavours, browse Caribbean- and African-inspired vendors, and groove to live Caribbean music all day long.
