Victoria International JazzFest (June 19-28)

Soak up the sounds of summer at the Victoria International JazzFest, from June 19 to 28. This ten‑day celebration transforms stages across downtown Victoria and Esquimalt into a city‑wide showcase of jazz, blues, funk, soul, and global sounds, featuring acclaimed international artists alongside Canadian and local talent. With a mix of ticketed performances, free outdoor concerts, and intimate club shows, JazzFest invites music lovers to experience Victoria through rhythm, community, and live performances.

Victoria Dragon Boat Festival (June 20-21)

The Victoria Dragon Boat Festival is a high‑energy summer tradition that brings colour, competition, and cultural celebration to Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Founded during the 1994 Commonwealth Games, the festival has grown into the Island’s original dragon boat event, drawing teams from across North America to compete in thrilling races right in the heart of the city. Set against the backdrop of Ship Point, the Inner Harbour, and nearby Chinatown, the multi‑day festival also features live music, cultural performances, local food vendors, and family‑friendly activities making it one of Victoria’s most anticipated and lively waterfront events.

Victoria Pride Week (July 1-12)

Celebrate love, diversity, and community during Victoria Pride Week, running from July 1-12. Throughout the week, the city comes alive with colourful events, performances, and gatherings that invite everyone to show up and take part. Enjoy the Memorial Drag Ball Game on July 1st, Pride in the Word on July 4th, or the popular Big Gay Dog Walk on July 8th. Pride Week culminates with the vibrant Victoria Pride Parade and Festival on July 12, where thousands line the streets to cheer, march, and celebrate in the heart of downtown.

Phillips Backyard Music Festival (July 10-12)

Set behind one of the city’s most beloved craft breweries, this three‑day summer celebration blends live music, local flavour, and backyard vibes into an unforgettable festival experience. With a lineup featuring major international artists Chance the Rapper, Father John Misty, and Modest Mouse, plus plenty of food, craft beer, and community energy, the festival draws music lovers from near and far.

Victoria Fringe Festival (Aug 26 – Sep 6)

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival is a Vancouver Island tradition that takes over downtown Victoria each summer with an energetic celebration of live performance from around the world. Hosted across multiple venues throughout the city, the festival features an eclectic mix of spoken word, drama, musicals, dance, comedy, magic, and theatre for young audiences. Produced by Intrepid Theatre, the Fringe is one of the longest‑running festivals of its kind in Canada, known for its vibrant atmosphere, community spirit, and commitment to showcasing bold, independent artistic voices.

Great Canadian Beer Festival (Sep 6-7)

Craft Beer lovers—your attention please… The Great Canadian Beer Festival is returning to Royal Athletic Park on September 6 & 7 for its 30th anniversary! One of the best beer celebrations in all of British Columbia, this festival offers attendees an impressive selection of craft brews to sample, with everything from cold, classic lagers to the latest experiments from the masterminds behind some of Victoria’s most iconic pints. Esquimalt Ribfest (Sep 11-13)

It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Victoria’s favourite sticky fingers event is back and saucier than ever. Esquimalt Ribfest takes over Bullen Park and is bringing the smoke from six unique pitmasters with a plethora of our best local brewers in tow. This three-day festival of feast features live music, rib judging, a people’s choice award, 50/50 draw, and the money raised goes to great local causes. Rifflandia Music Festival (Sep 13-15)

Whether you’re a headbanger, a hip-hopper, or a music aficionado, Rifflandia is sure to entertain. This three-day festival is a jam-packed mix tape of summer fun. Pick your day, or take in all three, and groove to the likes TLC, REZZ, Feist, JaRule, The Beaches, and more.
