Explore the eclectic shops along lower Johnson Street (LoJo as us locals call it), where you’ll find vibrantly painted boutique stores showcasing local artisans and designers. From handmade jewelry to vintage clothing, you’re sure to discover treasures that reflect Victoria’s creative spirit. It's just a 10-minute walk from OEB Breakfast Co., to lower Johnson.
Local tip: The theme might be brunch, but if you're looking for dinner, we recommend Il Terrazzo located in Waddington Alley just off of Lower Johnson, who have been serving up some of the city's best Italian food for generations

A quick 3-minute walk from LoJo and we're exploring the Bay Centre, a premier shopping destination in downtown Victoria located right in the heart of Government Street. Kick off your weekend right with a delicious brunch at Nautical Nellies, a seafood-centric restaurant offering a delectable selection of dishes inspired by the ocean. Putting seafood first, this is brunch west coast style! From savoury crab cakes to indulgent seafood benedicts, treat yourself to a coastal-inspired meal before embarking on your shopping adventure. Located on the corner of Broughton and Wharf Street, Nautical Nellies sits opposite the Old Victoria Customs House, a National Historic Site, with a picture-perfect facade that's perfect for photo albums and Instagram feeds.

As you meander the strip, you'll stumble across several other resale and boutique shops, making for a full and fulfilling afternoon of shopping.

Explore Russell Books (Canada’s largest independent bookstore) on Fort Street and Bastion Books in Bastion Square, where you’ll find shelves brimming with second-hand novels, rare editions, and hidden literary gems. Bibliophiles rejoice, it's just a 7-minute walk between Russell Books and Bastion Books, and you can even visit Munro's Books on Government Street along the way; often named one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. While Munro's doesn't focus on resale specifically, the ambiance beckons a visit.

Start your day with a delightful brunch experience at Boom + Batten, situated on the water’s edge, offering stunning views of the harbor. Indulge in a delicious meal while being surrounded by the soothing sights and sounds of the Inner Harbour. From hearty breakfast bowls to bennies, there’s something on the menu to satisfy every palate. While Boom + Batten's brunch menu might not be as expansive as others, they serve an exquisite, locally-forward brunch featuring a contemporary twist on all the classic brunch items you'd expect to see.
Local tip: Boom + Batten is located on the Songhees Walkway, one of Victoria's most iconic walking paths, which boasts sweeping views of the city, perfect for stretching those legs after a filling brunch.
Breathe in the beauty
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Beacon Hill Park, a lush oasis in the heart of Victoria. Wander through meandering pathways, admire vibrant floral displays, and soak in scenic views of the coastline and beyond. A beautiful opportunity to enjoy some forest bathing, while in the heart of the city. While you explore this beautiful park, there's an array of things to see and do within it, you could watch a cricket game, play a match of pickleball, admire some public art (can you find the hidden Moss Lady?), or even take the little ones to the Children's Farm.

It's just a 20-minute walk from Beacon Hill Park to the Moss Street Market, but make sure you leave some time to explore the shops in Cook Street Village on your way.
Local Tip: Moss Street Market operates 10AM-1PM on Saturdays between May and October, be sure to carve out time on your Saturday for some locally made must-stop shopping.

Indulge in a scrumptious meal featuring locally sourced ingredients and artisanal creations. From savoury brunch classics to innovative brewpub fare, savour the flavours of Victoria’s culinary scene while enjoying the coastal ambiance. Located along the Songhees Walkway, this is a great launchpad to explore the West Bay section of the walk following brunch.
Local Tip: Spinnakers is Canada’s first brewpub, be sure to pair your brunch with one of their craft beers brewed on site.

Local tip: Across from Market Square on Pandora, you'll find Fan Tan Alley, Canada's narrowest street, a hidden gateway to Canada's oldest Chinatown.
