Destination Greater Victoria is honoured to be based on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen-speaking peoples of the Songhees Nation and Xwsepsum Nation, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a time for us to come together and reflect on the history, heritage, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis peoples in Canada. On this day, you are warmly invited to learn about local Indigenous culture.
