A collaborative national dialogue on innovation and the contribution of tourism to Canada’s sustainable future.

IMPACT Sustainability Travel & Tourism was at the forefront of gatherings addressing sustainability and resiliency within the Canadian tourism industry when it launched in 2018.

Created with the goal of aligning the Canadian tourism industry – as well as stakeholders and communities touched by tourism – behind a vision to achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability, we have been grateful for the overwhelming support we received as we plan for the 2022 event.

IMPACT's goal is to align the Canadian tourism industry, as well as stakeholders and communities touched by tourism, behind a vision to achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability. Do you:

    • Work in tourism?
    • Design policies that affect tourism?
    • Teach a tourism and hospitality course?
    • Care about tourism’s positive or negative impacts on communities?
    • Believe the positive, sustainable growth of tourism in Canada is a key economic driver?

     Then IMPACT is for you.

Starting Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, British Columbians -- and visitors to BC -- will need proof of vaccination to access some events, services and businesses. As such it will be a requirement to be double vaccinated to attend the IMPACT Conference and to enjoy all of its related activities. Administration and enforcement details are still rolling out and will be finalized in the coming weeks; however, it is prudent to plan that it will be a provincially mandated requirement to fully vaccinated to attend all conferences in British Columbia, including the IMPACT Conference in January 2022. We will keep this page updated as new developments take place.
